When lighting a fire, there needs to be enough air and fire for the herbs to light, therefore a fire safe dish such as a shallow low walled Abalone shell works great. The shape allows for air to reach the fire and herbs. *Both the charcoal disks and ceramic dishes are sold separately.
LIGHT A DIM FLAME
Open a window and place a few pinches of the blend in a fire-safe bowl. LIght to create a dim flame that quickly burns out, leaving behind purifying smoke to carry out negative energy while infusing your intentions throughout your space. Refresh with another light as needed.
PALO SANTO STICK
Light your stick of Palo Santo. Allow it to burn for about 30 seconds to one minute then blow out to allow the smoke to carry out negative energy.
If you have a difficult time lighting your loose herbs, place one piece of charcoal in the dish, or shell, and ignite one section of it. Wait until the whole piece of charcoal has ignited, then add your herbs or herbal blend. The herbs only need to smolder. They should not be on fire after the initial lighting. Always open a window and use caution to practice mindfulness for fire safety. Charcoal sold separately.
